Alison & Kris come to visit
Alison and Kris came to visit. They drove from Michigan and got here July 1st. One of the first things that Kris did was to work on Alison's car fixing the brakes. It only took him about 45 minutes . We took them for a little sight seeing trip thru Fort Jackson and downtown Columbia. We went to Myrtle Beach from the 3rd till the 5th. We had good weather for fun at the ocean.

THE LITTLE BIT OF NEWS FOR NOW......
Well it's March 25th,2009 and I've not posted on my blog in quite some time. Lately, I'm spending time on FACEBOOK and seems as if every other person does too. And we all seem to be frustrated with trying to navigate on it. Anyway, the big thing going on lately is that we've met Loretta, the real estate woman that will hopefully get our house sold one day, so that we'll be able to move back to Michigan. Gale is not ready to retire, and has had 2 telephone interviews for jobs in Michigan at Selfridge ANG and also a navy outfit in Saginaw. Time will tell what will happen. Also, my cousin Lenore and her husband, Oscar should arrive here tomorrow for a brief visit on their way to Myrtle Beach. Teena, Jim, Gale and I will join them on monday the 30th. It should be fun fun fun !

STILL TRYING TO SEE THIS MOVIE . . . .

So here's the story about this movie......."Nights in Rodanthe".......
Last week, I took 3 neighbor friends (Helen, Debbie & Gloria) to the theater to see this movie(I recently read the book). Well we got there only to find out that they were closed on account they had been robbed ! One window panel at the ticket booth was still out and neatly sitting nearby. The employees were waiting for the police to show up. Today, we went back to the theater and once again could not watch it as the place was closed. Apparently, they are only open evenings monday thru friday. Well we still had a fun time as we came back here and played cards (golf). Helen was the big winner......

Angel Oak Tree....they say is around 1400 years old
Here we are in the start of a brand new year. I have not been blogging much lately. I've gotten very frustrated not being able to post photos on here, and I'm also spending time on "FACEBOOK".... now that Alison got me started on it. When Alison was here visiting over Christmas, we 4 took a 2 day trip to Charleston. We showed her the HUGE Angel oak tree on John's Island. I will now attempt to post it.
